Ever since the late 80’s when Australia’s economy had a massive growth, the metal recycling industries expanded their demand by buying scrap cars and shaped a whole new industry called the Car Wreckers.
There are hundreds of different makes and models of cars in Australia, and each has a different scrap value based on their GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass).
Now days, car wreckers determine the price of each scrap car not only based on the GVM but the condition of the body panels too, more importantly the front and the rear of each car.
